The Possible Illusion of Polls?

Many people have been wondering if this could happen to Barack Obama. The poll numbers for his campaign have been astounding since the economy took a turn for the worse and John McCain stuck his foot in his mouth on that Monday morning.

Tom Bradley was an African American politician running for Governor of California in the early 80's. He had strong showings in the polls, but on election day, it seemed as though those who said they would vote for him, they did not. This may or may not be a reality for the Obama campaign, but only time will tell.
Here is the full article from CNN.

The Bradley Effect

The "bradley effect" is something that I do truly worry about. Many people will smile in your face, but call you a nigg#r behind your back (i've experienced it both ways). Same with polls.

This week I read the book "Black Like Me" that was only written about 50 years ago. I think America has made great progress since then, but how much do you think can possibly be made in less than a single generation's time?

Also, William Ayers (Obama's mentor/god parent/best friend/ blood brother/ gay lover, all because they shared a board) was a strong advocate for civil rights and equal treatment in the 70's. Today's politicians try to label him in the same category of Osama Bin Ladin. Today, my mother told me that millions of people were "terrorist" during Vietnam. Whether you burned a flag, through a brick through a federal building or bombed a building. It was for a just cause (in my opinion). These sentiments against him lead me to believe that they come from a country that hated his ideals of "All Men Where Created Equal". And you'd be a fool to believe that is ancient history.

Every Republican is fast becoming an expert on the Bradley Effect. It's pretty much McCain's only hope. I'd say since the so-called effect was the result of faulty state polling, and Obama is polling consistently well nation-wide then the Republicans are pretty much screwed royally.

Do you really think that there's going to be that many people not showing up to vote? Who say they're going to get out and support Obama right now? Maybe back in 2000 and 2004, but not this year.

I don't know. If you remember the Pennsylvania democratic primary, at the exit polls, it was somewhere within the higher teens percentage of people that said "race had a big impact on how they voted".

Now, these are just the trashy people that have the gall to admit they are racist. Imagine the amount that voted on race and wouldn't admit it.

I just don't get it. The average American is sick. How could you vote for a man that is known to bomb villages in Vietnam that were filled with women, children, and other civilians. keep in mind, no one in Vietnam was a threat to America or our way of life. That sick bastard also has admitted to still being regretful and upset about not being able to bomb a location after he was called off.

Anyway, I digress. I am a born and raised American. But I acknowledge that our average citizen is the most dumbest, sheepest, ignorant people in the world. I will honestly be surprised if Obama wins even though he is ahead in the polls knowing how damn retarded our constituents are. We are the people that chose to make the biggest purchase of our lives w/o doing the research.
